Profile 2021

Hi my name is Ariki. I'm a year 7 and I go to Matawai school.  My family is a big family. I have 2 dogs, 2 horses, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.     

My goal for this year is to be a great leader. I am good at swimming and maths. The thing I really enjoy is baking, Running, and biking.

The thing I find that is challenging is art and Reading.

I’m looking forward to my little nephews birthday in April.

My achievements for this year is to an active leader. Someone who inspires me is my teacher by helping me with my learning tasks.

 

Would you rather

 Last week our teacher said when she was young she used to play a game called would you rather so today we got to make our own would you rather we each made 5-10 would you rather questions. Here is my best one. 

Taj Mahal

I changed the original photo of Taj Mahal to make the building brown so it looks like a rustic version of the Taj Mahal. Also i made the trees bright green so they stand out more.

 

 

Soundtrap

Today we created a our own soundtrap we lraent to used other music and box and put a picher first we had a look around so we could try out but i didn't save it and i had to rest my enter soundtrap atlest i could finish. 

Crazy Flip

Today we made pancakes in cooking tech. We had some skill focuses. One was separating egg yolks and whites. Then we had to try and flip the pancakes on the pan from one side to the other. At first it was scary, but we got used to it. My first flip was one then the next one was a double flip. The flavour was banana and choc-chip. It was fun.

Incredibox Music

Today we were learning about making our own music
I found it hard to make music on each of the three sites. 
It was easy to catch the rhythm.
If I did this again I would try to make music on the site Turning Art into Music.

How Yeast Works

Today we learnt about tall tweets. We used shapes and the explorer tool and inserted off the explore tool. Mrs Torrie had got the idea from the cool experiment that we had done in class with the reaction that the yeast gave in the different types of water.

Yeast Experiment

Today we did an experiment with yeast because we are learning about Fungi, and yeast is a type of fungi. We filled up four bottles with water of different temperatures.. We added yeast and sugar, next we stuck four balloons on top of the bottles. We waited to see which bottle would create the most gas and blow up the balloon.
The bottle with water of 32 degrees, worked the best. In my hypotheses, I guessed 51 degrees would work the best.

My skipping animation

Today we did some animation with skipping.  We had to keep it moving the image using the rrow keys. I love sipping faster and faster. We learnt to keep on duplicating slides using, ctrl d.  My next step is to add some background music.

Blog post graphs

Today we were learning how to make graphs and show how many blog post I have done. I have done only 8 blog posts. I've got the lowest blog posts because I been gone from school almost all of last week & on the first day back. My best blog posts are last year on June August & October.

KO WAI AHAU? | ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Ariki and I'm a year 6 my family live on a farm. My Dad goes hunting for possum and my mum washes our clothes. I have got 8 siblings, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.  I have got  two dogs my oldest has just had her two babies.

My favorite learning thing about school is maths. Most maths is pretty easy. The thing that I find challenging is writing because most of the time I have nothing to write about. We are learning fancy handwriting.

 Today I was learning about media.

Cybersmart Character

Today I was learning how to be Cybersmart and making a slide show to put on my blog.
I enjoyed making my carter.
I found it challenging to write what to put on your blog and what not to put on your blog.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

I have been reading The Three Billy Goats Gruff. My favourite goat is the biggest billy goat because he does big stomps and said "I've got two spears to poke your eyeballs out your ears. And I'll crush you to bits!" They get to fat so they can't walk. The troll has a nose longer then a straight stick and eyes as big as a dinner plates with 6 earring on the left side and 8 on the right ear.                    

Scorpions

We are learning about animals and which continent they come from.

* Fat Tailed Scorpion are found in desert areas
in  Africa & Asia.  

*They shelter under rocks and crevices.

*Fat–tailed scorpions can live for up to 5 years.

*At night they come out to hunt.

2019 About Me

Hi my name is Ariki I go to Matawai School I am a year 5 I live with two brothers and two sisters and   I live in Te Karaka and I  love playing b ball. Sometimes I go with my Dad to go do possim huting becase I found three babye possim and I like wekeend becase I can go to my sisters home. 

Im good at writing and writing storys.

I cant what to go possim huting.
